I first watched the movie "August Rush" in music class in the 10th grade. This movie is about a child music prodigy. Lyla is a cellist and Louis is a guitar player. The both of them fall in love the first time they meet each other, both of them were following the music that was coming from a nearby concert. Lyla and Louis separated with out seeing each other because they had different lives. Lyla had their baby Evan, a prodigy born to music. Lyla got into a accident and her father gave the baby to a orphanage as he did not want the baby to affect her career. Eleven years later, Evan travels around New York City trying to find his parents. In New York his musical gift leads him to success but also trouble. A man “the wizard “ uses Evan to make money and prevents him from achieving success. He escapes and runs into a church and people there are surprised by his gift and send him to the music school Juillard. After being in Juillard for a while people start to recognize his knowledge and love for music and Evan and his parents soon to reunite. The theme of the movie would be music and the music that comes from Evan's world. The lesson in the movie I would say is know your purpose. God created you the way you are , you were created with a purpose in mind and are made to be able to fulfill that purpose. Never change because of others. Evan has many character traits. One positive character trait is believing. Evan always believed in his music. He believed his music would help him travel and go places. Most importantly he believed music would lead him to find his parents. Another positive trait Evan had was bravery. Evan didn't listen to what others said; he traveled around New York looking for his parents following the music. Although following the music led him into some trouble like Wizard he found his way right out and continued to follow the music. Evan was a brave young boy who was not afraid to show his love for music.
