Dedication To TMA
6 Years strong and I dont regret any of it. Being in TMA I learned a life lesson I will never forget. Which is “ If you want something don't let anything or anybody stop you from succeeding. TMA gave me so much confidence and strength to work toward my future. Im so glad I grew up and remained focused. In TMA I've truly met some wonderful people who have impacted my life in many ways. During this journey I lost good friends and gained better ones. I made sure that I stayed with those who encouraged and believed in me. My close friends turned into my family and I couldn't have done it without them. Although It wasn't easy I succeed because god wouldnt put me through anything I cant handle. My journey at TMA has come to an end but my life journey has yet to begin.

Religion
Throughout history, the spread of beliefs has influenced the economic , social and political customs in many regions. The main religions that were spread were Islam and Buddhism . Converts of Buddhism and Islam moved around the world , the religions created change and were themselves changed. Between the second and twelfth century , believers spread their faith to rulers as well as travelers , merchants and local communities . Each of these two major world religions were transformed as a result of encountering different people and cultures , all of them have evolved over time.
The Spread of Islam expanded rapidly after the Prophet Muhhamed death . In a few decades the territory under Muslim rule had extended onto three continents , Asia , Africa and Europe . Over the next few centuries this empire continued to expand and Islam became the chosen faith of the majority of it inhabitants . One way Islam was Spread to African societies was by Religious leaders playing religious , social and political roles . They played the role of traditional priest in African Societies. This influenced the empire socially by Muslim men became peacemakers . Also Mosques became sanctuaries. ( Doc 1 ). Another way the empire expanded was by Askia Mohammed , who was the emperor of the Songhai Empire which was under the influence of Islam . Askia Mohammed expanded Islamic influence by introducing legal and social reforms . Also Islamic judges were exposed in all of large districts in the empire. This influenced politically by the court of Askia becoming the highest court of the land as well as justice was administrated rather than traditional African laws. Askia also remolded his Empire. ( Doc 3 ). Trade was a major influence economically in the Islam religion . Trade led to the Spread of food and industrial crops . The Islamic religion had a huge impact in Spain , it also changed the lives of many . “Some of the finest centers of Muslim life were established in Spain “. The Islamic religion really helped the Spanish. One way Islams improved their life was by building Public school for the poor children who needed to be taught .

Society (PB)
Something Im really passionate about is my society. As a society we encounter many types of problems and
situations on a day to day basis. Many of these problems can be solved with
science and it techniques. The problems we face as a society and the scientific
solution that may arise from these problems are often influenced by social,
economic, political, environment, cultural and ethical factors. One major issue
we face today is passive smoking. The major question we ask is what is a
scientific solution to prevent people from smoking? The problem with passive
smoking is people smoking cigarettes that are polluting the air. The cigarettes
are also harming people body especially their lungs. This issue is very
significant in our society many people smoke cigarettes. My proposed solution
to this problem is to remove the harmful chemicals in a cigarette. Science can
help by changing everything in the cigarette.
My solution can solve this problem. My solution might work
because with changing the ingredients inside a cigarette people wouldn't be so
addicted and less harmful. I do think people will continue to smoke. Cigarettes
companies may not agree to change ingredients because of the fear that their
business will fail. One factor that may influence the success of my solution is
social. People will start communicating to others the message for the cigarette
change. I know this will occur because I a lot of people may agree with the
change and others may not. There will commercials and bulletin boards of my
solution. There might also be a strike against my solution. I feel that my
solution will be positive towards people who want to quit smoking and delete
the factor of passive smoking.

August Rush (FC)
I first watched the movie "August Rush" in music class in the 10th grade. This movie is about a child music prodigy. Lyla is a cellist and Louis is a guitar player. The both of them fall in love the first time they meet each other, both of them were following the music that was coming from a nearby concert. Lyla and Louis separated with out seeing each other because they had different lives. Lyla had their baby Evan, a prodigy born to music. Lyla got into a accident and her father gave the baby to a orphanage as he did not want the baby to affect her career. Eleven years later, Evan travels around New York City trying to find his parents. In New York his musical gift leads him to success but also trouble. A man “the wizard “ uses Evan to make money and prevents him from achieving success. He escapes and runs into a church and people there are surprised by his gift and send him to the music school Juillard. After being in Juillard for a while people start to recognize his knowledge and love for music and Evan and his parents soon to reunite. The theme of the movie would be music and the music that comes from Evan's world. The lesson in the movie I would say is know your purpose. God created you the way you are , you were created with a purpose in mind and are made to be able to fulfill that purpose. Never change because of others. Evan has many character traits. One positive character trait is believing. Evan always believed in his music. He believed his music would help him travel and go places. Most importantly he believed music would lead him to find his parents. Another positive trait Evan had was bravery. Evan didn't listen to what others said; he traveled around New York looking for his parents following the music. Although following the music led him into some trouble like Wizard he found his way right out and continued to follow the music. Evan was a brave young boy who was not afraid to show his love for music.

Upcoming Exam (ID)
On Friday November 8 , there will be a statistics exam. When ever I hear the word exam I get so nervous. Exams are always hard for me because there based off information we learned from day one. Writing this blog will help me study for the exam. Topics included on the exam will be methods of data collection , Bias , how to create frequency tables & histograms and how to create dot plots and outliers. If you look at my blog from a couple of weeks ago I wrote a post about the methods of data collection. Bias is when the results of the sample are not representative of the population. There are 3 Sources of bias , sampling bias , non response bias and response bias. I really have a hard time remember the 3 but Im going to study so it can stick in my head. A sampling bias is used to obtain the individuals in sample. A nonresponse bias exists when individuals in the sample dont respond to the survey. A response bias exists when the answers on a survey dont reflect the respondents feelings. I also have to remember the 4 methods of data collection , which are a use of survey , simulation us of mathematical model , observation study and experiment. The exam will also include the level of measurements which is nominal, ordinal, interval and ratio. So far these are things I know off the top of my head I will study for the next couple days. Mr . Rich also gave us a review packet that we can always go over to help us study.
